APPLICATIONS:
Used for primary and secondary overhead distribution where limited space is available or desirable for rights of way.
Installed as an uninsulated conductor; however, covering is effective in preventing direct shorts and instantaneous flashovers should tree limbs or other objects contact conductors in such close proximity.

Duplex Service Drop---Aluminum Conductor is primarily used for 120 volt overhead service applications such as street lighting, outdoor lighting, and temporary service for construction. To be used at voltages of 600 volts phase-to-phase or less and at conductor temperatures not to exceed 75°C for polyethylene insulated conductors or 90°C for cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated conductors.

Triplex service drop---aluminum conductor is used to supply power, usually from a pole-mounted transformer, to the user's service head where connection to the service entrance cable is made. To be used at voltages of 600 volts phase-to-phase or less and at conductor temperatures not to exceed 75°C for polyethylene insulated conductors or 90°C for cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated conductors.

CONSTRUCTION:
Medium Voltage ABC Cable Construction:
1. Conductors are concentric strand AAC (1350-H19), AAAC (either compressed or full compact depending on conductor size) or ACSR.
2. The conductor shield shall be an extruded back semiconductor polymer meeting the physical requirements of ICEA S-61-402.
3.Available with track-resistant high-density polyethylene (TR-HDPE) per ASTM D1248 or Track-Resistant Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) covering per ASTM D2656. 

Conductors are concentrically stranded, compressed 1350-H19 aluminum. Insulated with either polyethylene or cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). Neutral messengers are concentrically stranded 6201, AAC, or ACSR. Conductors are manufactured with ridges for phase identification (one conductor one ridge, one conductor two ridges, one conductor plain.)
