Description:

A spacer damper refers to a fitting that is installed on the split conductors and fixes the distance between the split conductors to prevent the overhead lines from oscillating due to wind or sub-gage.

The spacer dampers are generally installed in the middle of the gear distance, and are installed 50 to 60m apart. Generally, there are spacer dampers for double bundle, triple-bundle, and quad-bundle conductors. After installing the spacer dampers for the split conductors, compared with the vibration amplitude of the spacers, the two-split conductors are reduced by 50%, and the four-split conductors are reduced by 87%, 90 %.
